Meet the Team with Marion Hyde

Date 7 October 2025

Our Field Supervisor, Marion Hyde, is the latest to feature in our Meet the Team Q&A session.

Marion is a familiar face at My Caring, having worked as a Healthcare Assistant since September 2022.

She was the first to join the business in this role and progressed to a senior position, training staff and ensuring they are competent in all areas before taking up her new role.

Marion Hyde.

Tell us about your role and what it involves

I’m a voice and a face in the community, acting as the first point of contact for service users and staff.

I carry out staff audits, spot checks and supervisions, quality assurance and reviews for service users. I visit service users in their own homes and they all know me because I’ve been on this journey with them since the beginning. It’s like meeting old friends.

My aim is to make people’s lives better and as long as I can do that I’m happy.

What’s the best thing about your job and why?

I’ve been a carer for more than 35 years, so I must like it! I enjoy meeting people and provide support when it’s needed.

Now I’m in my new role, I’m proud to maintain the high standards that we expected as a company.

Why do you love being part of the My Caring team?

My Caring is a very good company to work for. I’ve always felt supported in my job roles and the training is first class.

I’ve recently completed my NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, which the company has supported me through. I’ve learnt so much from it and really enjoyed it. I learn a lot from my colleagues too.

What does #feelthelove mean to you?

It means we’re a caring company and we all have the same values and goals for our service users.

Tell us something about yourself which people may not know.

I went on a course years ago and trained to be a plasterer. I was decorating my bathroom and my husband tried to replace a tile. But as he took it off, the wall was still attached to the tile!

I went on a course for a week and came back to plaster my own bathroom.

I trained as a chef too and ran my own cake business. I’m very hands-on and I like to learn.
